As a profesional practice Bent Architecture provides project-based planning, design, documentation and administrative expertise. We are comitted to a close dialogue with our private, corporate, and institutional clients in order to understand their specific needs, sites, and resources, and in order to best represent their interests during design and construction. Building upon our experience in institutional, commercial and residential work we offer project-focused architectural services that prioritize efficient, effective delivery to meet targeted budgets and schedules. As a design studio Bent Architecture is dedicated to realizing projects that embody both the specificities of their contexts - both physical and cultural – and also the economic and performance criteria that give rise to them. This commitment provides a practical and conceptual framework for analytical and design processes that mine each project for uniquely salient problems and conditions. When exploited for their design and aesthetic potentials, these project conditions become opportunities for architectural meaning that is not arbitrary or superficially contextual but which is contemporary, innovative, rigorous, resonant, evocative and entirely appropriate. As a new office located in east Cambridge Bent Architecture’s five-year goal is to be guided by our core principles while becoming competitive with our respected parent firms. We understand that as vitally important as our architectural work is, it is a resultant of our primary creation - the values, personnel, consultants, contacts and infrastructure that define our office. Bent Architecture’s current efforts are focused upon a variety of residential work - private, speculative, and affordable.
