This interior project, on the second floor of a 1940’s Lexington home, involved the renovation of a sitting room adjacent to the master bedroom.

Distinctly different client needs were met in this unusual combination of walk-in-closet, dressing room, and library. The use of woven cane at the doors screened the closet interior from view with a material compatible with the natural maple finish of the shelving, while implying a volume beyond consistent with the adjacent shelving. A built-in at the window provides for both reading and dressing.
